Infrastructural activities carried out in the following companies: Enea Wytwarzanie and Enea Elektrownia Połaniec facilitated the reduction of the emission of nitrogen oxides and dust into the air.
COMPLIANCE WITH REGULATIONS
As a result of the Directive of the European Union, the IED emission standards have been tightened. Being a producer of electricity, we are facing the adaptation of our energy units to the new environmental requirements. The applicable law enable the use of derogation mechanisms that in turn facilitate the acquisition of additional time to adapt our units to the applicable standards. Thus, the Transitional National Plan (from Polish PPK), which is a derogatory mechanism, obliges us to implement changes by 30 June 2020. The PPK allows the total settlement of limits within the entire Group. Accordingly, blocks 1-10 Kozienice Power Plant are settled against the Białystok Heat and Power Plant limits of SO2 and dust.
